Well ladies, this is my first blog post! What better way to celebrate, than to talk about my passions in life and how I got to where I am today. If you read my about me column, you would understand that my background is that I was an esthetician. I left out that I did a four year fashion program in high school. My dream was to go to FIDM, and major in visual communications. I wanted to take others designs and put mannequins together to tell a story. There’s probably a lot more to that degree, but that was my ultimate goal. When I really sat and thought out my life, my dream of becoming a mother was stronger. So I thought, what is a more realistic approach to mom life and business life. Thats when I decided to become an esthetician.
The obsession is real with fashion, skincare, makeup, spray tanning, lashes, I mean, I can go on and on. When my business came to an end when I was pregnant with the twins and moved, my wheels constantly turned. What could I do from home? What is my next goal? I prayed and prayed and prayed God would put something in my heart, so I could have an outlet. Moms lets face it, we all need an outlet! I thought I wanted to do an online clothing boutique. It turned out to be more time consuming than anticipated. While roaming market, I found an accessory store, where I later purchased some chokers. I started selling them on my TrailerGold instagram and they were a hit. I started to think, I wish these were better quality. My wheels started turning and inspiration kept coming. I found something that I loved. With God’s guidance, I plan to evolve TrailerGold into something great.
When you wear one of my designs, I hope you feel confident and beautiful. I hope it adds just the right touch to your outfit. When I see women rocking my designs it puts a fire in me to create and thrive. To you its just a choker, to me its so much more. Thank you to my girls that style TG all day everyday, YOU ARE GOLD!
